Export from 1-hr to 10-hrs

After upgraded from 7.1.3 to 7.1.6, our Export function on Backups went from 1 hour to 10-hours, then down to 8-hours for 300+mgb of data.
Oracle cannot explain this...nor help us resolve an unusually long EXPORT time of about 32 tables.
We found a EXPORT fix for 7.1.3, but Oracle is having a problem determining if the fix was incorporated in 7.1.6....
EXPORT on Backup saves us the hassle of getting everybody off the system when restoring a damaged table...we just isolate the one table and IMPORT from our Backup.
Any suggestions would be appreciated...
