We are looking for a good reporting tool that works with Oracle on Netware. Does anyone have a recommendations either good or bad. Here are our criteria:
1. Works with Oracle tables. Can use more than 1 table at a time. (A typical report accesses 6 tables) Is there a limit on the number of tables accessed per report?
2. Good efficient matrix reporting easily.
3. Good efficient joins easily.
4. Create and save multiple output formats including; Text, Dbase, Spreadsheet(Excel, Lotus) Word-processing( WordPerfect, Word).
5. Good formatting capabilities, Fonts, Page breaks, Titles, Header/footers, rowtotals & subtotals.
6. Windows & DOS versions that use standard memory management.
7. Good "retrieval speed".
8. Accepts passed parameters. (Can pass userids to limit access)
9. Ability to define temporary tables and fields for use in a report.
Desirable
1. Ability to save, view and edit report outside of the menus or program used to create it.
2. Create multiple reports with single pass through the data.
3. Ability to create file breaks in reports.
4. Ability to view multi-dimensional tables from various aspects
