SQL Compiler?!?

Howdy,

Does anyone know of a product, commercial or not, that will compile SQL*Plus code into an executable? We have a large volume of SQL*Plus command files and I was wondering if there was some way to cut down the interpretive overhead. We do not have the staff available to translate these to Pro*C, or COBOL.

What I have in mind is kind of a Clipper/dBase type of program. If anyone knows of anything, your help would be greatly appreciated!

We are running Oracle 7.0.x on an OpenVMS system.
