I haven't had any trouble with online backups under Oracle7. What in particular do you want to know?
I mean, my database keeps coughing up hairballs, but it has nothing to do with the online backups. V 7.0.16.6 is unstable on the Digital Alpha platform running OpenVMS 6.1.
