Problems w/ Oracle CDE2 CASE Client Installation!

We are trying to install a copy of the Oracle CDE2 CASE Client for MS-Windows. We have tried to follow the instructions provided in the installation manual. Once we have set all the parameters to the recommended values, we start the installation. It takes about 4-5 hours (normal according to the manual!) and then we get the following error message:

        After Loading
                "RMTXI.RPB"
        Receive Error
                Plus31 caused a General Protection 
                Fault with Module
                ORA71WIN.DLL at
                0005:0CE8

Does this mean anything to anyone. Please help! Thanks a lot in anticipation.
