ANYONE DID REPLICATION USING ARCH LOGS?

Has anyone done any replication of ORACLE databases by copying ARCH logs from one machine to another and then applying a continuous roll forward of the database on the second machine ? Is this possible and has anyone ever done it and if so how can I try it out ?
