Pilot is known as an EIS (executive information system) or DSS (decision
support system) tool. This is to take tabular data and give it a graphical or
pictorial representation for the less "technically adept". It is also commonly
used to give periodic updates to the CEO or his direct reports. This is much
more distilled than a user reporting tool. There are no capabilities available
to the enduser except that which has been programmed in.
