Has anyone sucessfully loaded data via sqlldr when the file resides on
tape? We are on Solaris 2.4, and have tried
infile /dev/rmt3 "fix 999 block 999"
where 999 refers to the appropriate length (I'd give you actual settings,
but I'm writing from home...). Even though the tape has been positioned,
we are getting no records through; sqlldr appears to be waiting on input,
and the drive status indicator still reads "Ready" - the tape is not
moving.
Thanks for your help with this!
