It isn't a *problem* per se, but it *can* result in less than optimal performance. However, the optimal db_block_size, the Unix filesystem blocksize (if you aren't using raw disk files), and the logical volume manager interleave (when you use striped disks) depend on *your* database. The same is generally true for all Oracle parameters; what works well for me may work very poorly for you.

If you are concerned about your database performance, your best bet would be to try changing various parameters until you get the combination that works best. Unfortunately, this is very time-consuming, since many critical parameters such as db_block_size and logical volume manager interleave require that you reinstall oracle and reinitialize the logical volume, respectively.
