ORASERV Proc.

        We've been experiencing oraserv hangs since two weeks, is there any way to trace what's happening inside SQL*Net? We've started it as oraserv timeout=number debug=9, but results are not very good, orasrv.log file becomes huge and the information is not really useful.

        The only way to stop oraserv is killing it. ("tcpctl stop" doesn't work).

        Can somebody tell me what's happening?.

P.S. We're running ORACLE 7.1.4 under Solaris 2.3, SunSparc 1000.
