I have seen stuff on Notrix Composer which let's notes users access a Oracle RDBMS. Also there is InfoPump which is a gateway between a Notes db to a Oracel RDBMS. It uses a Sybase engine so it get complicated and it's expensive. Notrix looks like a OK product, their sales people are pushy though.

Lotus and Oracle are supposed to jointly release a link to a notes front end so you may want to wait for that .
