Hello.

I've got a problem with ReportWriter 2.5.2 for Windows. I tried to "convert" some old reports, that were designed with ReportWriter 2.0.13, to 2.5. That is, I opened the reports in the designer and generated and saved them with a new name.

These reports don't run. When I start them from the program manager I got the following sequence of errors:

   REP-0735: Unable to load DE Program Unit.

             Will attempt to load PL/SQL source text.
             Make sure you are connected to a database.

=> REP-0736: There exist uncompiled program units.

=> Windows crashes with:

   "R25RUN caused a general protection failure in module    PLR1171W.DLL at adress 0004:71DA"

   (I translated this last message from german to english).

These errors occur only when I omit the parameter userid=<username>/<password> in the command line of the icon property.

When I specify the full username and password, e.g. D:\ORAWIN\BIN\R25RUN module=<my_report>.REP userid=scott/tiger, then everything is just fine.

(FYI: Date and size of plr1171w.dll: 11/16/94 14:11:06

                                      213.504 Byte     )

BTW, when I create a new report from scratch, everythings is O.K., too. These errors occur only with old 2.0.-reports.

Any idea? Anybody with the same problems?

Thanks in advance,

                        Dirk.
