Hi all,

Correct me if I am wrong.

Assume SQL*Net v2 is used and TWO_TASK has been set. In order to get the LOCAL authenticate users (i.e. OPS$ by default) to access the database without using their passwords (i.e. using /), the parameter REMOTE_OS_AUTHENT has to be set to 'TRUE'.

Questions:

1 Is this the correct way to do it?

2 Is there any potential security problems caused by doing this?

Regards.
