DESCRIPTION: ATM means "Automated Traffic Management", which describes the family of logistics software modules developed by Advanced Microware (AMI). All modules intergate with each other and the users host business system to form a uniform process for managing multiple traffic and logistics functions:

  • integration with host computer and carrier computer systems
  • consolidates all shipment preparation into a single process
  • preshipment rating and routing
  • online shop floor shipment preparation and data collection
  • comprehensive routing control and decision making
  • online shipment tracing and POD confirmation at the SKU level
  • online shipment confirmation and invoicing
  • auditing carrier service quality and freight invoices
  • carrier analysis and reporting by shipper defined criteria
  • barcoded label generation to meet carrier and customer requirements
  • compliance with customer routing and shipping documentation
  • automated preparation of all carrier required documents and labels
  • preparation of export documentation; SED's, SLI's, proforma invoices
  • least cost shipment and order consolidation
  • management of EDI partnerships with carriers

Warehouse Floor Shipment Preparation
ATM weighs shipments, calculates mileage, rates, routes (on cost, customer, and delivery requirement), consolidates shipments, and identifies zone skipping opportunities for optimal rates. ATM prints both barcoded carrier and industry standard label formats, COD tags, bills of lading and airbills, shipment manifests, SED's, SLI's, and proforma invoices.

ATM interfaces with electronic scales (fixed and inmotion), barcode scanners and printers to automate data collection and document preparation.

System Integration
ATM shares data with the host business systems and carrier systems both online or in batch. ATM utilizes client-server architecture and interfaces with nearly all mini - mainframe host computer systems and networks. ATM can work with SQL tables, read ASCII files or use scripted emulation for any terminal.

Traffic Analysis
Data collected by ATM can be analyzed with ATM's report writer which allows the shipper to create an unlimited variety of user defined reports (printed, screen, file, graphs). Reports by carrier, region, for carrier billing, department for internal freight cost accounting, post audit, discount analysis, COD reconciliation, summary and detail reports can be easily generated.
