Re: RDBMS under Novell ?

Here Here !!! Don't go w/Novell!!!!!! We've seen major problems at some clients once the database gets above a couple million rows. Then using heavy duty EIS and reporting tools we also get very bad performance on Novell. We don't have these performance problems on either HP or Sun Unix boxes. Doesn't seem to matter how we setup the indexes or distribute the tablespaces across disk farms. Could be we just aren't doing something we should be, but I doubt it. Anyway, it's surely easier on Unix -- no worries -- unless, of course, you buy a pooch of a Unix box. Good luck. Eric Dirst
