I have experience with Oracle v6 and v7 on Novell. Speed does tend to be an issue. The systems I've seen have been reliable, but not speed demons. Do not, under any circumstances, use the same machine for the file server and the database server. And make sure the database server has plenty (read: LOTS) of RAM and multiple hard drives. (Standard stuff any Oracle DBA will tell you.) --brad
