If the small database is not an Oracle database, you have to export it to a text file and use SQL*Loader to put it in a ORacle7 database. You may be able to use Access or Q+E if you have a ODBC driver to whatever datasource is running on your EP/IX 2.11ac. If you are using Oracle7 on that box, the data is 100% compatible - easiest way in this case. Dump it to a DMP file and the import the DMP file from the NT server.

Personal Oracle runs on Windows 3.x. It may run on NT but it is a single user version designed to be a developers tool. You can't run a enterprise or workgroup off a single user database! WG/2000 is a family of products that includes: Oracle Objects for OLE, Power Objects, Workgroup server for NT, NetWare, and x86 UNIX, Oracle Radio Agents ... and Personal Oracle.

: Oh, is this product out in beta or is it production yet?

Oracle7 for NT has been in production for over one year. You have your choice between the enterprise and the workgroup version.

SmartStart is a killer product. You get NT and can install a version of Enterprise Oracle7 for NT that is optimized for the Proliant boxes.
