We are using Oracle on Netware, and here are the experiences we encountered.
First, we had problems because we were running it on a file server, and every time someone hit Oracle, the file server utilization went well over 80%.
Second, we were running Norton Anti-Virus for Networks, and it would crash the server ocassionally when it would try to examine Oracles' SGA. We fixed this by putting Oracle on a dedicated database server, and now evrything is working fine. But I think the performance is slower than if you were to run it on Unix.
