We are having severe performance problems within our software when running under 2.x. Our software gets called from Interleaf 5.4.1. Our software is written in Pro-C talking to an oracle 6.0.37 server. The programs also read and write a large number of files from one nfs directory to another.
I have verified that there is not a memory or swap shortage that is causing this problem.
Sparc Classic w 4.1.3_U1 33 Minutes Sparc ELC w 4.1.3_U1 37 Minutes Sparc 2 w Solaris 2.3 (BCP) 47 Minutes Sparc 2 w Solaris 2.3 (Native) 53 Minutes Sparc 2 w Solaris 2.4 (Native) 51 Minutes Sparc ELC w Solaris 2.4 (Native) 82 Minutes !!!
If anyone has ANY suggestions other than staying with 4.1.3, I'd appreciate your comments. Received on Thu Feb 16 1995 - 05:34:02 CET
