SQLExtendedFetch in Oracle ODBC Driver

The configuration:
Server: SUN Sparc10 running Oracle 7.0
Client 1: Pentium/90, Windows 3.11 for Work Group, Chameleon TCP/IP product.
Client 2: 486/25, Windows 3.1, SUN PC-NFS 5.0
SQL*NET and ODBC driver 1.1.0.0 are installed on both clients.
I am testing an application written by Visual C++ on these two clients.
The Probelm:
I use the ODBC function SQLGetFunction to test if the ODBC function SQLExtendedFetch is available. It is available on Client 1 but not on Client 2!
I installed the ODBC drivers from the same disk. What is going on here? Any help would be extremly helpful.
