I have also been having problems with 7.1.4 on a SGI IRIX system. Tech support basically said that version 4.0.12 of the CDE tools for SGI/UNIX would have some problems. It hasn't been fully tested on 7.1.4. I do not know if this is true over all platforms, but it is true for SGI. By the way, are there any other Oracle users that are using SGI as a platform. If so, I would like to get in contact with you.
