Hi,
I'm trying to do my first installation of Oracle and I'm also unfamilliar with Solaris though I know SunOS 4.x. According to Oracle bulletin 104511.69 I reconfigure my shared memory by changing the /etc/system file and insterting set shmsys:shminfo_*=* lines (where the stars are the apropriate values). Then type 'touch /reconfigure' and 'init 6'. After I do this I type 'ipcs -b' and it says my shared memory facility is not in the system.
What does this mean? Is there something else I need to change or can I go ahead with my installation?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. jilReceived on Mon Feb 06 1995 - 21:43:25 CET
