Something stirs among the neurons...

We had a horrible startup time problem when we had F3.0 running agains V6.

The neurons tell me it was to do with having column-level security (ie. "grant update (col1, col2) on atable to anuser"). It went away with V7, and I think that's the only fix we found ("fix" as in "fixed in the next release":)
