You can use a timer to ask in defined duration (in 1000-th of a second)
if there is a signal from outside somewhere to be read.
Define the timer in the PRE-FORM trigger with REPEAT (so that it starts
after expiration) and use the WHEN-TIMER-EXPIRED - trigger to set the
wanted operation.
