I followed the suggestion to extract po7_win.exe by using the command po7_win.exe -d -n from within the subdirectory where the self-extracting file was located. THIS SOLVED BOTH OF THE PROBLEMS: 1)"file exists, want to overwrite?" and "object10.vrf file not found while verifying object 10". I proceeded to complete the installation, but not quite to the end. I had the problem sited in the Release Notes, but followed the instructions and was able to work around that also. I have now successfully installed and started and shutdown the database.
