HELP MR. WIZARD! I am gathering information on presenting Oracle Financials data in an EIS or DSS type application. Specifically, I am looking for ideas on how others may have resolved the complicated table structures when trying to develop a speedy app that presents information in a more readable "business presentation" rather than the standard accounting reports.
What are the pitfalls/problems of such an application?
How might they be overcome?
How do you turn raw financials data into information that the business can
use?
How do you address slow queries off large financials tables and views?
Any ideas you might have would be appreciated. Please e-mail response (as I rarely get onto the net...)
Thanks in advance
