Yes, Oracle 7.1.3 on DEC OSF/1 V3.0 supports SMP. In an SMP environment, the application sees one instance. Oracle Parallel Server (OPS) would allow you to share the database across several unique instances in a cluster environment. OPS on OpenVMS has been around for a while now. OPS on DEC OSF/1 clusters using Encore's Memory Channel technology is announced and is being tested right now.
