try making sure all the X11 libraries are seen by the server manager i have run into many oracle problems in linking when the libraries aren't seen in the paths...try linking and doing the make with the libraries in the same directory...one of the tech support people suggested this to me when doing the link with one of the other programs that were core dumping for me....good luck
