Gee, that sounds familiar!

Yeah, but you won't like it!

Our setup was similar, except that we had 7.0.11.x.x running on an HP3000 with MPE!
In any case, I flipped through my notes and found some rather cryptic information (but it seemed clear back then!)
"Thought: importing CDCASE.DMP requires that access be granted to certain tables. However, the access cannot be granted until import is finished. Thus, tables must be *precreated*, access granted, then import with IGNORE=Y" I don't know if the above is true, but it sounded good at the time.
What I apparently ended up doing was :
- Drop the definition tables from previous attempt.
- Create the definition tables using casedba, wait until the import crashes.
- Delete all rows from the definition tables (I wrote/modified a script to do this).
- Import the file \orawin\dict51\ins\cdcase.dmp. "imp syscase/syscase_at_<connect string> full=Y file=cdcase.dmp log=impcdef.c ignore=Y"
The Windows version of IMPORT didn't work too well, as I recall, so I may have done this through OS/2 or moved the file to the server and done it there.
Hope this helps. My sympathies.
