Hello,

I need help in importing a data file to Oracle. Each record of the data files has more than three lines. Each field length is not consistent, one of the field may be missing in some record, and there are two fields that switch positions.

An example of a data file is:

Job: 841; Status: OK; Call at: 07/01/94 10:57AM; By: LISFAX To: 123-4567; RTI: 123-456; Queued: 07/01/94 10:13PM; Pages: 2 Dur: 00:01:12; Res: FINE; Compression: MH Desc: TO: DENNIS SMITTEN FOR: D374838*F*1

Some record do not have a RTI field and Desc FOR.
Sometimes Desc TO and Desc FOR are switched around.

I tried to use SQLLOADER but it the data seems to complicated
to use that. Is there any other way?

I also tried to use Paradox as the front end to Oracle. I am able to load the data to the Paradox tables successful.. but i can't seem to write the data to the Oracle table throught the import function I wrote. I have the SQLLINKER(2.0) to link Paradox with Oracle.

        Please Help!

        Thank you in advance,
