Kent,

I evaluated Patrol, EcoTools, and Platinum's (Aston Brooke's) UniVision. We purchased
DB-Vision (The database portion of UniVision) and negotiated a VAR agreement with
Aston Brooke (the developer of DB-Vision, before Platinum acquired them) to provide
DB-Vision with all of our products.

For pure database monitoring, DB-Vision was the best, by far. Aston Brooke (and
Platinum's) technical support is by far superior to the other's. If you are looking for
Network/Server/Database monitoring, the Patrol or Eco may be better for you, but
in my estimation they do the three things only partly well, where DB-Vision does
one thing VERY well.

A new product under the UniVision umbrella is a product called ServerVision. It
was just released a few months ago and still has some maturing to do, but if Aston
Brooke/Platinum does as good a job on ServerVision as it did on DB-Vision, then
ServerVision will be a hit also.

You can contact Aston Brooke at 1-800-257-7664, and feel free to contact me if
you have any further questions.

Hope this helps!
