Although it's not clear why does default DB size matter for you if you're gonna work around it anyway, and moreover you should determine DB size based on *your* requirements and not on what's offered for some "generic" installation, these are approximate figures for SCO UNIX/ODT based Oracle 7 (sorry I can't recall exact values, but they're pretty close):

system ts 25 Mb
tools ts 15 Mb
temp ts 0.5 Mb
users ts 1 Mb
rbs 5(?) Mb
redo logs 1.5 (0.5*3) Mb

But this is a bare minimum, it doesn't assume you'll be able to install Motif-based stuff like CASE/Forms4 or things like Oracle Office Server!

As to SGA (which includes shared pool, doesn't it?), there're values for three database system models predefined in init.ora: small, medium and large. Those figures must look like 3.5M, 6 and 9, but normally you'll want to assign to SGA as much RAM as possible (maybe 15% to 30% - depends on total available memory).

Sure numbers are varying from platform to platform, but it might give you a picture.
