I am using PowerBuilder 3.0 on SQL*Net v2 with Oracle7 (7.0.16.6) on an HP9000.

With the Multithreaded Server option enabled on the Oracle7 server, I have encountered the ORA-03113, end-of-file communication channel message whenever the fetched rows exceeds the default blocking factor specified in PBParm (100). I can get around this problem by reducing the blocking factor (arraysize) to 25 or configuring a 'dedicated' server configuration in SQL*Net tnsnames file, but neither of these solutions is preferred.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and have a different solution?

Thanks,

Avery Smith
