SQL*RPT - can I salvage it?

I have created a large number of reports in SQL*RPT. I am moving to Oracle7 soon, and I would like to convert these form to SQL*ReportWriter. Is there a simple way to do it, or must I scap all this code and write the applications from scratch? Can I even use SQL*RPT with Oracle7?
