We are in the process of developing such a tool and will soon be asking for volunteers to Beta test it. It has a graphical front end which runs under Windows 3.1, with lots of pretty graphs, gauges, charts etc, and yes, it does raise alerts. Let me know if you are interested in being a tester, preferably by E-Mail.
