As a heads up, user migrating from 5.6 to 5.7 must run the "Inter 5.1 Conversion" option in CASE DBA.

The symptoms are similar to another problem which has a different solution. The symptoms are "Package created with compilation errors". In 5.6, the solution was to be sure to run catproc.sql and GRANT EXECUTE ON DBMS_PIPE.

However, if the user is migrating from 5.6 to 5.7, this won't solve the problem. 5.7 creates a table CDI_VIRTUAL_OBJECTS, which is apparently not created by 5.6 CASE*DBA (or at least not created if you start with the tutorial tables :-).

It may even be necessary to apply both fixes, as I've seen several installations that hadn't run catproc.sql.
