We use FTP's PC/TCP version 2.31 and SQL*Net version 1.1.7.8 to talk to Oracle7 on HP-UX via WinSock. I can't see why any other WinSockcompliant  TCP/IP stack would not work with the same version of SQL*Net to Oracle7 on an RS/6000. Keep in mind that this is SQL*Net v1, not v2.
