Hard to believe that Oracle is that stupid, eh? I couldn't believe it when I first heard it either.

While I can see their desire to work their way into the PC market place, and while I can even see certain applications that lend themselves to the rather sterotypical UNIX-server/PC-Windows model, there are a lot of places where this simply doesn't make sense.

Sort of like how they're adding lots of Windows-specific stuff to Forms 4.5 that doesn't make sense on other platforms. Fine, just don't lessen support for "real" GUIs, like Motif.

I'd like to know what Oracle's going to do since we purchased CASE a couple of years ago under VMS. "Sorry, but you'll just have to consider that $40,000 as a loss." While techs may use PCs for AutoCAD, no one else in the VMS or UNIX worlds here on site really do.
