Forms 4 and Sybase 10

Possibility, yes. Do not expect Forms 4 to connect directly to Sybase, but you do have some options.
The first is to use Oracle's database as a front end for your other databases (using transparent gateway, etc.) and connect to the Oracle database, which will hide the vagaries of other databases, and add advanced functions which other databases do not support.
The second is to wait for the next major release of Forms, which will support ODBC. The third option is to manually connect Forms 4.0 to Sybase using user exits. Received on Sun Oct 23 1994 - 15:30:55 CET
