Oracle SGA on SCO

I am trying to get an SGA of about 40-45meg on my SCO box. The SCO system has 128Meg of ram. I upped all the kernal variables but still can only get about 35Meg of SGA. When I try to get more I get the following error message:
ORA-07307: sms1sg: shmat error, unable to attach sga. AT&T System V/386 Error: 12: Not enough space Additional information: 1
I hope that someone on here might have an idea of what to do. Thanks.
