I need a database that will do the following:

  1. Must run on Sun/Sparc under a Motif environment.
  2. It must have an API that will allow me to interface my C promgrams with my database
    1. some libraries, drivers, etc.
    2. maybe a precompiler or perhaps ODBC?
    3. keep in mind that whatever the API be, it would be nice if we didn't have recode our C prgrams if at some later date we wish to use a different database. However, THIS IS NOT A MUST!
  3. Must have a data browser.
    1. Some sort of user graphical interface that allows me to manipulate the data via keyboard/mouse.
    2. I don't want to have to write a C program everytime I want to add, remove, sort, etc. data from the database.
  4. It will be run by a single CPU but multiple users (2-3 X-terms) will be accessing the database at a time.
  5. Price. Although price is not really a factor.
  6. Misc. (None of these things are needed but are of interest)
    1. Any specs. on speed.
    2. Any specs. on sized (is it a memory hog?)
    3. Can it plot data?

Thanks.
