The key to oracle with composite indexes is that Oracle uses leading edge for the composite indexes. For example, a index exists on C1, C2, C3. Valid index use would be C1, C1&C2, C1&C2&C3. The index would not be used for a C2&C3 selection criteria. Received on Mon Oct 17 1994 - 13:40:37 CET
