There was a message posted here some time ago to the effect that the next
version or so of Oracle will be instrumented for SNMP. I assume this is
the RDBMS MIB that has been in progress for a while.
If I remember the post correctly, Oracle will also be shipping a product
called Oracle Server Manager, which will eventually take the place of
SQL*DBA, and which includes mechanisms for querying the Oracle MIB. The
MIB is also supposed to be accessible from OpenView.
