Oracle currently has the SQl*TextRetrieval product that does everything you would probably need. In addition, Oracle has either released recently, or will release very soon the Oracle Text Server, an Oracle RDBMS that comes with all the text document features that you would ever want, plus some that you may have never heard of ie. Oracle*Context, which will reduce or abstract the *CONTENT* of documents automatically. This type of technology is nowhere to be found in other DB products such as Sybase or Informix. You should contact an Oracle technical sales rep for more acurate and detailed information. Received on Fri Oct 07 1994 - 21:52:34 CET
