In reference to the problem in which performance in Forms was allegedly orders of magnitude off what SQLDBA was showing: It turns out the problem was the author's faulty emulation of the Forms generated sql in SQLDBA. Case insensitive query was turned on for the item qualifying the where clause [it puts UPPER() in the sql line]. This legitimately causes the indexes not to be used and therefore the difference in performance. Thanks to those who offered ideas. - SL Received on Tue Oct 04 1994 - 14:39:01 CET
