It is a "feature" of the Windows operating environment. The & is an indicator that Windows should underline the next character, and not show the & character. The Windows API functions which build controls and display text all operate in this manner. To display a single '&', a double '&&' must be sent to the API functions.
To display text correctly, the front end must first parse each string for '&' characters, and double each one. Forms does not do this. Received on Fri Sep 30 1994 - 18:16:23 CET
