You need special hardware configurations to run Parallel Server. Make sure you let your favorite HW vendor know that it is your intention to run OPS, so that you don't waste time looking at irrelevant HW configurations.
To make failover transparent to users, use a transaction monitor to load
balance the transactions equally across the systems in the cluster.
If the load gets too high, failover will result in significant performance
degradation. Ie: if there are two servers in the cluster running at
>50% utilization, a single server will struggle during the failover.
