I'm not certain why you say SQL*Net won't work with OPS$. Unless its because you need entries in /etc/passwd on the host machine (I used to use YP to distribute /etc/passwd so it was never a problem for me). Even so, wouldn't it be simpler to add the entries. They would require passwords although they may require a .rhosts file.
