I haven't had experience with Oracle on Netware, however - Here's my opinion. a 10 gigabyte database is NOT a small database, particularly for 35 'ACTIVE' users users. My opinion is to select an operating system (i.e., the database, admin tools, communications software, etc.) that will scale in hardware because the Compaq platform may not perform. Basically that means Unix or 'UnixWare' (I'd suggest Unix only because I'm ignorant of UnixWare).
