Oracle 7.1 parallel server

I am in the process of planning for a system that must be available 7 days a
week
24 hours a day. Our databases support a round the clock manufacturing
environment. I'm looking for any information about experiences with the
parallel
server. We would be running with 2 machines. Also any ideas on how best to
use oracle in this type of enviroment would be welcome!
